Interested in contributing something to the tournament, and feel like you're talented enough for the task?
Take a look below for ways that you can contribute!
Submissions will not be open after voting for Grand Finals has ended.

First off, where do i submit?

If you have something that you're ready to submit to the Bootleg King For Another Day Tournament, we have two different options open to receive your submissions!
The first and most recommended option is to join our Discord Server, and send your submission over to our dedicated staff Discord Account:

BKStaff#8032
ABOUT ME
The account that handles submissions for The Bootleg King For Another Day Tournament, alongside bkfadtournament@gmail.com!
https://www.youtube.com/c/SpeedWielder

The account looks like this, and although the PFP and description may change from time to time, if you've got this Discord Tag, you've got the right place for your submissions!
Additionally, feel free to contact the account with things like questions or feedback!
Alternatively, you can send your submissions to bkfadtournament@gmail.com, our tournament's official email, however this won't be checked as often, and it may be harder for you to see or respond to our feedback/acceptance messages!
This option mainly exists for those who wish to submit to the tournament, but do not have Discord.

So, what can i submit?

Typically, submissions can be grouped into one of these three types: Art, Music, and Writing.
Detailed steps for submitting based on each of these three types is listed below.

Art Submissions!

Unfortunately, due to planning problems, remotely submitting art for the tournament is not possible, excluding some special events.
If you would like to submit art to the tournament, apply to our backroom!

Music Submissions!

Replace fields marked with [boxed italics]!
To submit music, please use this formatting!

[Arrangement Title]

Arrangement by: [The name that you would like to be credited as.]
Original Arrangement: [Add this field if elements of a specific arrangement of a track are used.]
Performed by: [Add this field if other people sang or preformed instruments on the track for you.]

Characters Represented: [Put the character(s) in the tournament that this track is for.]
Original Song(s): [Put whatever the original song(s) are here, including the source from each character's sourcelist that they fall under.]
[eg. "Rhythm Toys - Rhythm Heaven (Rhythm game franchises popularized in the 2000s)".]
[Songs added that don't fall under any character and just sound nice in the mix should be marked with "(Offsource)", but don't add too many, or they'll throw off the featured character's representation!]
Special Comment/Field: [If applicable, include any special comments or additional fields that should be included in the description, such as if your track is a tribute to something.]
[This field is meant to be used extremely sparingly, so including this without a real reason will cause your field to not be included in the upload.]

File: [If your submission is too large to be directly uploaded to Discord, link to your submission here! Higher audio quality like FLAC or WAV is preferred.]
[If not uploading via Discord, please use Google Drive or Dropbox, as that makes it easier to process submissions.]

GUIDELINES
[Bans]
- Don't include anything stupid or offensive and you'll be fine. You can use your head, right?
- Submitting lorepieces that start "arcs", unless all are submitted at the same time (and accepted), is not allowed.
- The same applies for submitting lorepieces that are meant to add on to existing arcs.

[Clarifications]
- Profanity is allowed.
- Moderate sexual content and innuendos are allowed, but don't be excessive.
- You can use any character, guest, or bonus character introduced in the tournament so far, but no new characters, due to the fact that us making a stock for your character is not guaranteed.

[Additional Notes]
- Feel free to include images or gifs in your writing, or suggest cool formatting stuff to do!

To submit a backroom application, fill out the below fields and send them to our Discord account!
We do not accept backroom applications via email.

Portfolio: [Put a link to your portfolio here. Putting things that you've made for other tournaments in it is encouraged!]
Primary Role: [Artist/Musician/Writer - The role that you are looking for the most.]
Secondary Roles: [Artist/Musician/Writer - Other roles that you have skills for and might be interested in contributing to.]

Additional Notes: [Give some additional notes about your application! Are you an arranger, or a mashup artist? Someone who likes to work on Vs. art, or stock icons?]
